This large format book includes almost every work by Flo Kasearu from 2006 until 2016. Flo Kasearu’s artistic practice extends across multiple media, ranging from drawings to video works and interventions in the urban environment. While her pieces often touch upon urgent societal topics, Kasearu’s works share a playfulness and self-irony that is also evident in the written and visual language of Flo’s Book.
The book is designed to be an over-sized pocket book and is divided into three chapters. Chapter one covers her solo practice, chapter two introduces collaborations in a broad range of media, and the last chapter is all about the Flo Kasearu House Museum. The book also includes four essays by an international line-up of curators and writers, reflecting upon Kasearu’s practice. It ends with an interview with the artist, conducted by curator Rael Artel. Each of the works in the publication is also accompanied by a short comment by Artel.
